چکیده

The study intaimsto evaluate the impact of landscape (Land use land cover) changeson Land surface temperature (LST) by using GIS and Remote sensing (RS) techniques in Lahoreduring 2017–2021.Supervised Maximum Likelihood classification method was used to classify theland cover classes. For retrieval temperature, Landsat 8 (Band 10)product level 2 used. Barren built- up area were identified as most leading LULCclasses respectively at cost vegetation water bodies. barren landclass increased from 55.9% 63.81% ,while Built-up class also increases 13.5% 18.46%during 2017-2021.Whereas , bodies both are exhibiting decline. declinein reported 29.58% 17.6% over time 2017 2021.Overall, 0.3 %decrease is observed In 3◦C decline temperature(LST) value than 2021.Built-up Vegetation classes can contribute a significant role variation ofLST comparison These results will be very helpful understand LULCchanges eventually it assist management authorities, policy maker town plannersas well.

Assessment of Land Surface Temperature Trend and Its Spatial Correlation with Landscape Structural Elements in Rasht Watershed, Guilan Province

Remote sensing data play an important role in environmental planning and monitoring. The current study aimed to investigate the land surface temperature (LST) and the effect of environmental factors on the LST, to identify the temporal-spatial patterns and determine the hot spots in the period of 2013 to 2019, using Landsat 8 images. The effect of spectral indices: Normalized Difference Build-u...

the central purpose of this study was to conduct a case study about the role of self monitoring in teacher’s use of motivational strategies. furthermore it focused on how these strategies affected students’ motivational behavior. although many studies have been done to investigate teachers’ motivational strategies use (cheng & d?rnyei, 2007; d?rnyei & csizer, 1998; green, 2001, guilloteaux & d?...

Impact of urban land cover change on land surface temperature

The rapid growth in urban population is seen to create a need for the development of more urban infrastructures. In order to meet this need, natural surfaces such as vegetation are been replaced with non-vegetated surfaces such as asphalt and bricks which has the ability to absorb heat and release it later. This change in land cover is seen to increase the land surface temperature. Previous stu...

Impact of Urban Climate Landscape Patterns on Land Surface Temperature in Wuhan, China

Facing urban warming, mitigation and adaptation strategies are not efficient enough to tackle excessive urban heat, especially at the local scale. The local climate zone (LCZ) classification scheme is employed to examine the diversity and complexity of the climate response within a city. This study suggests that zonal practice could be an efficient way to bridge the knowledge gap between climat...

the effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...
